04.04.2025: The Moon was 373.700 km from Earth on Friday, 04.04.2025 13:23 UTC and appeared at an angle of 31°58′ when a Wizz Air Airbus 321-231 (flight WMT716) flew past it at an altitude of 34.000 ft (10.360m) and a distance of about 15 km from the camera. The aircraft with the registration HA-LXC was on a flight from Bruselles to Bucharest at a speed of 813 km/h.
With the US government going nuts at the moment, I’m pretty happy to have caught a European airplane so nicely.

23.03.2025: View to the west-southwest over the Rhine near Ingelheim at 19:26 UTC. Orion is in the centre of the image, partially covered by a cloud, but the belt stars and the four corner stars are visible. The very bright star to the left is Sirius, the brightest fixed star and above it you can see Prokyon. Three bright points can be seen to the right and above it: the lower one is the planet Mars, above it the two main stars of Gemini, Pollux and Castor. The very bright dot to the right of Orion is Jupiter, above which you can see the constellation of Auriga. To the right of Jupiter are the Pleiades: a so-called asterism, a conspicuous constellation of stars located in the constellation of Taurus. Below Jupiter is another asterism: the V-shaped Hyades with the bright reddish star Aldebaran.

22.03.2025: Sunrise with approaching rain and Sahara dust in the atmosphere. The dark spot on the sun is a bird, probably a pigeon, about 2 km away. Shortly after the picture was taken, dense clouds moved in front of the sun.
